Biltong, South African Style Jerky - This is a recipe from Hugo's grandmother that she used to make on her farm in South Africa. She had a butchery on the farm and folks came from far away to purchase the Biltong whenever she made it. Biltong is made from the Sirloin Tip and Round and is sliced thicker than traditional American style jerky. It has a great flavor and contains all natural ingredients with no MSG or artificial preservatives. It is the perfect snack for on-the-go and is a healthy snack for your children too. Boerewors, South African Style Barbecue Sausage - No Nitrates. No preservatives. Low in salt. This coiled sausage is easy to cook and combines a mix of our grass fed beef and All Natural Pork. It is juicy and delicious with a distinct flavor. We asked Hugo's grandmother, Ems, for her farm recipe here. Ems made this sausage for many years when they had a butchery on their farm in Africa. It was a local favorite and is a well known recipe among many Zimbabwians. Boerewors is pronounced bor-a-vors. It is well suited to all taste palates as it is not a hot spicy sausage, but is tasty and flavorful.

This sausage is intended for the barbecue and can also be pan fried or roasted in the oven (do not boil). Cooking Instructions. Serve as a main meat dish or with your favorite dipping sauce as an appetizer.
